Release Board is a simple and efficient way to plan, manage and track your releases. The three panel view makes it very quick to see progress of your team for a particular release.

Yodiz Release Board explained

There are number of options and actions available on this board. Here are some details about them.

  1. Change Release:
     This drop down allows you to quickly switch between different releases. In drop down there will be only 5 most recent releases will be shown, click on “View More” for older releases. To create new release, simply click on “Add Release” button at bottom of Drop down.
  2. User Stories or Switch: 
    This drop down let’s you select whether you want to see User Stories or Issue for this release. For simplicty reason, Yodiz always explicitly separate user stories and Issues. The same logic is also on ScrumBoard.
  3. Filter by Responsible:
     This drop list all the users that are part of this project. Simply select the user name and all the user stories in this release will be displayed that are assigned to selected user..
  4. View Tasks Efforts:
     This shows sum of efforts for all tasks. Depending on the status of user story, the most relevant effort indicator is shown at top, for example, if user story is “In Progress” then it will show “Effort Left” and if user story status is “Completed” then it will show “Effort Spent”.
  5. +Add Task
    : This link at bottom of user story widget will create a new task for this user story.
  6. Change Estimation Value
    : Each user story has it’s own “Estimation Value”, for example if you have selected T-Shirt sizes for story estimation, the Small, Large, X-large are symbols to show what originally the product owner thought of size of this user story. The value in item 4 “Task Estimate”, is different value and it’s sum of all the task level estimates. You can change method of User Story estimation from Project settings. Read more here.
  7. Other Options:
     There are other options related to each user story, for example view Details – a full screen user story page view.
  8. Comments:
     To add new comments or view existing. You can tag any user in the comments field by using this notation “@username” where user name is the name of the user. When you tag some other user in comment, a notification will be sent to the user in email.
  9. Launch Details Pop-up:
     To edit details, titles or other properties of User story.
