Existing projects from Redmine can be imported in Yodiz. The process is quite simple and makes it convenient for users to migrate their data to Yodiz.
How to Access Redmine Import
Log in to Yodiz, from top right “Header Menu”
Click on the: Settings icon > Import External Project…
Left Navigation > Import Using API > Redmine.
You will be landed on the following “login page”.Redmine Domain: The Redmine Domain would be “hostedredmine.com”
Redmine API key: The API key provided by Redmine.
Click on Redmine Login and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Select Project
In this step you will be shown a list of Projects in Redmine. You can click on the “Start Import” button given with each project. Only one Project can be imported at a time, but you can import another project once you are done importing the first one.
Select from the list of Projects and click on:“Start Import”
Once you have clicked on any of the Project’s “Start Import” button, You will be shown the following screen showing a message “Retrieving project data, please wait”. It means that your data is being fetched from Redmine.
Step 2: Import As..
When the selected project data is retrieved, you will be shown the following screen.
At this screen, you have the option to Import Project Data as “Issues” or “User Story”. Also, you can select which items to be import by clicking at the checkboxes on the left side of Items.
Note: There are 9 Item types in Redmine.
- User Story
These Items can be imported either as User Story or Issues in Yodiz.
However, a Tag will appear on each imported Item which depicts the Item type from Redmine.
Step 3: Import Data
Once you have selected Items, which you want to view in Yodiz. Click on “Import Data” button.
You will be shown following “Import In Progress” popup.
Once all the data is imported. A notification Popup will appear notifying about the project Title and number of Items imported in Yodiz.
Note: Workflow from Redmine is imported as it is in Yodiz.
